Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using EngLedger (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. EngLedger is operated by Buildlight Labs Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Australia.

Description of Service

EngLedger connects to your engineering tools (including Jira, GitHub, and Bitbucket) to classify development work as capitalisable or non-capitalisable, produce R&D capitalisation reports, and support financial reporting for engineering organisations.

Account Registration

You must register an organisation account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

Subscription and Billing

Access to EngLedger is provided on a subscription basis. Plans are billed monthly or annually in Australian dollars. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. No refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by law.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes in connection with your organisation's engineering and financial reporting activities. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the Service, resell access, or use the Service in a way that disrupts its operation or that of other customers.

Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you provide or that is ingested from your connected integrations. We process your data solely to deliver the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or by deleting your organisation account.

Confidentiality

We treat your engineering and financial data as confidential. We do not sell, share, or disclose your data to third parties except as required to operate the Service (e.g. cloud infrastructure providers) or as required by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buildlight Labs Pty Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any calendar month shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in that month.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
